Every stone shown and carved are "found objects". Armed with just an iPhone and simple tools, stoping to take a closer look or capturing that remarkable photograph were unavoidable.
As the collection grew, patterns developed. All of the minerals ands stones have secrets revealed only when polished, Learning to spot those "in the rough" became the principal skill, surmounted only by sculpting. All of the Skystones are found on their original site.
These are all "signature stones", marked with the Old Norse letter "C" and often with three dots. All cleaned by hand with brushes and soa ked in lemon juice, apple cider, vinegar, soap, and water.
Imagine being out there on a blood moon, in July, in a place called Bloody Basin on a Blood Moon night, trapped miles from other people after a rogue thunderstorm. All of the stones have epic events in their finding. This cannot be scripted and this will remain part of the legacy of each Skystone indefinitely.
